Prayer, worship, and ministering mercy

“Of all things, guard against neglecting God in the secret place of prayer.”
William Wilberforce

"Many people mistake our work for our vocation. Our vocation is the love of Jesus."
Mother Teresa of Calcutta

There are two things that are foundational to our ministry, whether it is interceding in prayer, worshiping, or ministering through acts of mercy and love. These pillars of what we do are: 1) Prayer and intimacy with God (first and foremost), and 2) we must be ready, willing, and available to go where God leads and to minister where there is a need, and this usually leads to the poor, oppressed, outcast, and the broken.

Prayer

"Prayer is a duty, and as we perform that duty, one thing for sure is going to be changed, and that is us. To live a life of prayer is to live a life of obedience to God." - R.C. Sproul

We believe that prayer is not a capstone, but the cornerstone to all that we do. It is not a means to an end, rather, we believe that we are created for dialogue with God. While our prayer room development site is more detailed on our passion, we feel that it is important to reiterate that prayer is our foundation for ministry. Before we reach out to others (the second greatest commandment -- Matthew 22:34-40) we must keep the first greatest commandment in first place if we want to be effective for the Kingdom. We are not interested in just having a "prayer ministry," we long to be people of prayer, and we long to disciple others to have that same purpose and identity.

Ministering Mercy

We believe that prayer changes a person, and the natural overflow of a heart abandoned to God in the secret place is a person passionately reaching out to the Lost, broken, outcast, the poor, the oppressed, the widow, and the orphan. Working in Native America we have experienced the effects of generational (residual) poverty, and throughout our life experiences God has broken our hearts (time and time again) for the injustices that happen here in the US and abroad. Our passion is to not only disciple the teens we work with, but to help them dream for the future, and walk the steps to actualize those dreams with them.
